The high initial cost of a truck can easily accept the overhead costs of self driving systems versus a passenger car where overhead can exceed 100% of the car price.Causes of those accidents can vary between unskilled drivers, bad weather conditions, bad visibility of other traffic participants due to blind spots, or vehicles issues due to missing, or late maintenance.

Truck accidents not only cause safety issues but also a lot of financial impacts due to compensations, fines, losses and damages to goods.
